Congratulations on your engagement! I really appreciate your visit to my wedding blog and considering me as your photographer. I welcome any questions you might have about my service.

I am a Boston based freelance photojournalist whose clients include the New York Times, USA Today and the Sporting News magazine. As a photojournalist I have covered US Presidents, professional sporting events and made portraits of people ranging from the internationally famous to hometown heroes. I photograph weddings in the same photojournalistic style, documenting moments as they happen framed by beautiful composition and light.  I also am happy to photograph as many portraits and group shots that my client’s want. One of my favorite times during the wedding day is when the three of us can go off and make creative portraits.

I have over a dozen years of professional photography experience. After graduating in 1997 from Montana State University in Bozeman, I received my first job in photojournalism at the Connecticut Post Newspaper and Brooks Community News. I loved covering daily news but wanted more variety in my work and to be a small business owner. I left my staff job in 2002 to concentrate on weddings and freelance for commercial and editorial clients. Since then I have photographed over 200 weddings and counting.

My challenge when photographing a wedding is to capture the true spirit of the event with as little influence from me as possible. The most important thing during your wedding day the experience you take from it. That is why I work in the most unobtrusive style as I can. Some wedding clients in the past have told me they wondered at the end of their day if I had taken many photos at all when, in fact, I had taken more than 3,000 images.

My wife Rochelle and I reside in the neighborhood of West Roxbury in Boston, Massachusetts with our little girl Maddy and her pug Mack. I would be happy to answer your questions of yours by phone, by email or in person by appointment. I know how important wedding photography is to brides and grooms so that is why I take every precaution to ensure that everything goes smoothly and on time. But I also want the photography portion of your wedding to be worry-free from your standpoint. Your only job on your wedding day should be having a great time, not worrying if the photographer is getting the job done. You should feel secure in the fact that you have hired a professional who cares deeply about the quality of your wedding photography and your wedding day experience.

I wish you the best of luck with your wedding preparations. Thank you so much for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you!
