I have wanted to photograph a wedding at the Ocean House for as long as I have known of its existence. I shot a wedding at the church across the street from the hotel about 10 years ago. It was the off-season and the venue was closed but the bride and groom and I took advantage of its beautiful wrap around porch and made some portraits. Fast forward about 5 years later when I photographed another wedding at the same church… and the hotel was completely gone! I remember thinking how terrible it was to tear down such a historic building. Someone then told me that they were just renovating it and would rebuild it soon. They numbered as many pieces of the building as they could salvage and put it right back up. Truly amazing.

Two other people who were particularly happy they put it back together again were Meghan and Sean. It proved to be the perfect local for their amazing wedding! They got a perfect day and enjoyed every second of it to the fullest with their friend’s and family. They were married on the lawn near the croquet court which they did stop the game for. I really enjoyed the twilight photo walk that Meghan and Sean and I got to take down to the ocean.
